Eight fresh titles, five newly interpreted tracks
Erich Lindenthaler presents on his latest CD eight brand-new songs plus five new versions of older tracks. The goal of the project was to re-experience the pieces through interpretations by other musicians and to hear how they sound in new arrangements.
The harp adds expanded color as a solo and filling instrument. Fooled Man gets a modern makeover and appears for the first time in a new recording; Sleep In comes in a higher key. The saxophone gives Fire Burning and Oh Minnie airy, potentially new heights.
Fire In Me opens with a stylistically neutral approach, but is distinguished by a striking guitar and organ. Right to the Sea stands out as a quiet piece with ukulele. Independence Blues presents as a fast slow-blues or slow shuffle—depending on listening habits. Lonely And Bare serves as a quiet counterpoint to Hotspot, driven by a guitar performance that offers more than just fills.
Three Rock’n’Roll tracks—No Better Man, Cheatin’ Mama, and Hold Me Tight—follow at a relaxed tempo. Track 12 is the ballad Let Me Win, before Oh Minnie closes the set.
Target audience: music lovers who appreciate meticulously crafted arrangements and warm, versatile soundscapes.
