Jazzodrom is an Austrian jazzquintett originally formed with the same instrumentation as the famous Cannonball Adderley Quintett. After playing lots of Hardbop and Soul Jazz the band has worked on its own compositions and made up a unique, modern, european- and soulinfluenced Jazz with an important emphasis on the groove. In some songs you can feel almost somekind of a pop-aproach to this kind of Jazz which comes from established experiences of some band-members with solid pop-music. Thats why the songs convey a sense of easylistening though without becoming boring. The Bands sounds exciting throughout the whole CD, always groovy and fresh.
The actual CD reflects some very special experiences of the past years and some visions for the future in a very honest, musical way. Take time and let the different songs and moods take a deep impact on your soul, especially in these times when lots of people have become too busy to face up to sensitive impressions that surround them.
